Farm Garden, City Garden
A busy avenue in the heart of Brooklyn is not usually the place to find a small flowerbed filled with zinnias. When you do, it is worthy of a minute or two to stop and soak-in their vivid colors. The red zinnias remind me of Gustav Klimt’s Farm Garden with Sunflowers. There should be and can be more farm gardens in our cities.
Discover farm flowers grown annually from seed, planted in mid-spring in full to partial sun for a burst of color when summer nods to fall.
Gustav Klimt’s Farm Garden with Sunflowers is in Vienna’s Belvedere Museum.
